Gus is 3

I can't believe we have a three year old child, no longer a baby, but a totally legit kid.  On Gus' birthday we watched a morning movie, went to lunch with James and spent the afternoon at the Childrens museum. It was really fun to just have some one on one time.  Today we had a family party and did water stuff, cake and presents.  Gus requested books for his birthday (He will probably hate me for doing that when he is older, but he loves books and they are expensive).  He got a bunch of awesome books and of course James and I had to swoop in like cool parents with a toy (we are such jerks, we get him all these vintage toys and force him to love them.)  I finally made Gus a decent cake for his birthday, not going to lie, I'm super proud of how it turned out.  I really love Gus, he is my world.  I'm so grateful for him and all that he adds to our family, he's a really amazing kid and I know he will be a wonderful teenager and adult.

Wasn't it just like yesterday Gus & Natalie were born? How can they be turning 3 already?!? Love the cake. I saw that same idea a few weeks ago on another friend's blog and I'm totally stealing it, so act surprised when you see it on my blog someday...

Happy Birthday Gus! Now you acan be Grace's 3-year-old friend who likes hot things.

Grace is wondering if now that you're 3, you'll start being nice to her. I told her that you're already nice to her. She's crazy.

Love the cake!

Amazing cake. LOVE it!
directions would be fantastic!
abbok birthday is a good idea, cuz they are so darn expensive, and I want to scream when one gets ripped, colored on, ect.
{when someone else buys it, it is less painful}

Happy Birthday Gus!
