Long lost memory

Since our blog is technically our family journal, I wanted to make sure I got this picture in from last Christmas. My friend Kelli (who I worked with in Montana) came to visit and we went and saw the local Santa helper in the neighborhood.

I know it sounds crazy, but come September I'm so excited for fall/winter holidays and weather. I can't wait!

On a side note, we got our blog published and it is awesome. If you want to check it out just let me know, it is so worth the time and money to put it together. A great memory of our past few years and the quality is great.

I definately want to see the book. What company did you use? How much did it cost? How many posts did you fit into one book?

We're all waiting for the details about publishing your blog. DISH!

I've wanted to do mine for a while but it seems like so much work.

And in answer to a previous post about cooking: I'm a recipe junky. Here's a good one.

1 Tbls canola oil
3/4 lb pork tenderloin, cut into 1/8-inch strips
2 pkgs (3 ounces each) pork-flavored ramen noodles
1 1/2 cups water
1 medium red bell pepper, cut into 3/4 inch pieces (1 cup)
1 cup broccoli florets (tops)
4 medium green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces (1/2 cup)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 2 teaspoons parsley flakes, if desired
1 Tbls soy sauce

1.Heat 12-inch skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add oil; rotate skillet to coat sides.
2.Add pork; stir-fry about 5 minutes or until pork is no longer pink.
3.Gently break apart noodles. Stir noodles, seasonings from flavor packets and remaining ingredients into pork. Heat to boiling. Boil 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are completely softened.
4. Eat.

I cant resist.
Here's one more:

Grilled Lemon Pepper Halibut and Squash Packs

1 lb halibut fillets, 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick
2 tsp dried basil leaves
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp seasoned salt
3 medium zucchini cut into 2x1-inch strips
1 medium red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 Tbls olive or canola oil

1. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Cut four 18x12-inch pieces of heavy-duty foil; spray with cooking spray. Cut fish into 4 serving pieces if necessary. Place 1 fish piece on each foil piece. Sprinkle fish with 1 teaspoon of the basil, 1/2 teaspoon of the lemon pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of the seasoned salt.
2. Arrange zucchini and bell pepper over fish. Sprinkle with remaining basil, lemon pepper and seasoned salt. Drizzle with oil. Fold foil over fish and vegetables so edges meet. Seal edges, making tight 1/2-inch fold; fold again. Allow space on sides for circulation and expansion.
3. Grill packets over medium heat 15 to 20 minutes or until fish flakes with fork and vegetables are tender. Place packets on plates. Cut large X across top of each packet; fold back foil.
