Oh snap!

I was just told today that I have to give a lesson in Relief Society in three weeks. What?!! So I had a lesson all prepared for July, but ended up going out of town. I took three months to study and research this lesson and then gave my insight to the sister who took over for me. Snap, now I have no lesson and three weeks to put together what I usually work for three months on.

I need a lesson idea. Have any of you had a really good lesson that you want to share some insight from? Help me please.

*Update!! I actually don't have to teach. I get another 3 months to prepare my next lesson, thank goodness. Keep the good ideas coming though, I will need all the help I can get.

The last conference was about trials building faith, and having faith through adversity...I don't know if that's already been overdone...but hey...everyone is hurting right now...

Give a lesson about heeding your friend's blog advice...

I chose to ignore yours about Activia yogurt and gave it to Natalie anyway (twice) earlier in the week. We have had a really gross 4 days. And to make matters worse, we're on vacation!

I'm a RS teacher and I find that if you cry and bring treats everyone thinks you're amazing. That's all I've got. Good luck. You're awesome. No matter what you do, it'll be killer.

If you'd like some amazing research FAST that is not overdone yet very thought provoking, I would refer you to Truman Madsen's "The Gospel and the Sabbath." You can get it on gospel link, but you'd have to pay $4.99. Still, a whole lot of amazing for one little spot: http://search.ldslibrary.com/article/view/1187903

Lemme know how it goes!

my usual plan of attack involves "being out of town" but i guess that doesnt help, huh.

i look up to people that can teach and speak in front of people.

as soon as they catch me i plan to beg to play a hymn on the cello instead of speak. "speak through my music" thats what i'll say.
