Disneyland 2012

We made a promise to Gus that he could go to Disneyland when he turned 5, the sort of promise you make to kids in the heat of the moment.  Well, he remembered that promise and stuck us to it.  We tried to convince him he had to be taller, but his body miraculously grew to the perfect height a month before our trip.  We had so much fun, it had been over 10 years for both James and I so it was awesome.  We took along Grandma and Grandpa Bowles and they added a whole new level of fun as well.  It was great, we told Gus we would go back in another 10 years!

5th Birthday

This boy turned 5, I can't believe how quickly time has flown.  I adore him more and more each day... with a love that will never end.  I still go into his room when he's asleep and give him kisses and tell him how much I love him.  I love to soak up every minute of time that he still likes being with me!

Easter 2012

Good times chasing after the Easter Bunny and getting all sorts of deliciousness.  The kids could hardly contain their excitement, we even had an egg rolling bracket going on.  Of course we did remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ the next day on Sunday.  We aren't stupid, we like to drag out our holidays as long as possible.

Pesky Wee Leprechaun

UPDATE Christmas till now!

I'm obviously several months behind on our blogging and we have much to report.  We celebrated Christmas, which was awesome.  Kept things simple this year, knowing that we were moving soon.  That's right, we moved.  We will have another post all about that exciting event.  Christmas was great!  Gus got some awesome headphones and an ipod, (thanks aunt Kizzy's for the hand me down.)  He loves music, and it is adorable to see him rocking out.  James got an exciting air compressor, and I got a Kindle Fire to keep up on all my reading.  The week after Christmas we took off with cousins to Greer (thank you Shawn,) to stay in a cabin.  It was nice to see some snow and be really cold for a little while.  The kids looked hilarious in their hodge podge get-up.  My favorite time of the year came and went, and we are already in the midst of spring.  This will be a fantastic year, I can feel it.

New House

HELLO MESA!

After much prayer, struggling and worry we finally decided to short sale our house in Chandler and move to a safer location where we could get our finances in order. Such a hard thing to do, to walk away from a commitment, but we did it with a lot of peace and we are so grateful to be living in a wonderful rental home.  We asked around and found a great home in Mesa and we are in love with the area and in love with the home.  We feel so blessed that we have been able to have this fresh start with our family. Come and check out our new place, we have a guest room for visitors!!

Christmas Program

Why are little kids so cute when they do their Christmas programs, I could not stop laughing it was the best.  I think my favorite part of the production is the girl on the far left, she was hilarious.  Love my Gus and I'm so proud of all he's learning with Packer preschool.
