The Trifecta

So This happened almost a month ago, but I already made some sweet graphics for it before I fell into the depths of fever and sickness so I'm bringing back some old news!  The legendary Trifecta is a holy combination of culinary goodness only obtainable on a single day each year, namely your birthday for the enticing price of $0.

It begins at Joe's Real BBQ followed closely by Liberty Market.  Now the timing of these two is critical to minimize the amount of waiting you have to endure at Joe's Farm Grill, the final stop.  I opted for a slight variation and made a pit stop at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.  When all is said and done you will have about 2 days worth of food to enjoy!  I ended up with a case of the flu that was then passed on to the rest of my family.  Would I do it again you may ask?  I would respond, "Is that even a question?!"

Gus was, of course, my co-pilot.

Adults can have fun!

We have a really fun ward, with many hilarious friends.  My friend Katrina put together an event in conjunction with our stake Valentine dance.  We decided in order to rock the dance, we should go 80's style.  We had a fantastic dinner and headed to the dance....when we walked in the awkward feeling was tangible.  There were a million older couples, no one was dancing and we stuck out like a sore thumb.  The men, who we had to beg and bribe to be there were more than happy to be wall flowers.  We danced a couple songs and then decided to bail and do what every respectful group of adults do after a dance.... go TP the couple that bailed out early.  Mind you, it's 9:00pm and we are dressed in 80's gear being total idiots.  It was epic!!  The best thing was trying to "run" across the parking lot after the TPing in my 80's puffy boots.  I was a site, I can imagine I looked like a fool.  Good times, and great outfittery.

Sick week

I have never ever had a fever that lasted so long in all my life.  Last week I had a fever that lasted seven days; to make matters even worse, my whole family had the same thing. It's been rough, I'm ready for all to be well so we can get out of the house and breath some fresh air.  There is my rant, horrible week.  On a positive side of sick week...adorable sick kid.  Seriously sick kids are so adorably sad, I love them all bundled up and chill.  I would rather have him well though, I miss my happy, healthy family.
