Gus is 3

I can't believe we have a three year old child, no longer a baby, but a totally legit kid.  On Gus' birthday we watched a morning movie, went to lunch with James and spent the afternoon at the Childrens museum. It was really fun to just have some one on one time.  Today we had a family party and did water stuff, cake and presents.  Gus requested books for his birthday (He will probably hate me for doing that when he is older, but he loves books and they are expensive).  He got a bunch of awesome books and of course James and I had to swoop in like cool parents with a toy (we are such jerks, we get him all these vintage toys and force him to love them.)  I finally made Gus a decent cake for his birthday, not going to lie, I'm super proud of how it turned out.  I really love Gus, he is my world.  I'm so grateful for him and all that he adds to our family, he's a really amazing kid and I know he will be a wonderful teenager and adult.

My Girls are the Best

I have a group of friends that started out as a bunko group 7 years ago.  We quit playing bunko about 3 or 4 years ago after realizing that all we really wanted to do was chillax with each other.  These are my girls, my best friends, the people I call when I need help or a shoulder to cry on, that I can count on for anything, that don't judge me, that make me laugh so hard I might just pee my pants. We got a chance to get away this weekend (thanks to Molly for extending herself above and beyond) to a fancy-pants resort in Scottsdale.  It was so much fun to just relax, stretch out, force people out of the hot tub with our blatant disregard for rules, and to just be together.  Love these girls!!

Happy birthday date night

Most fun date EVER!!  I got to plan my dream date, which included an early babysitter so I didn't feel guilty being gone awhile.  We had dinner and I totally went off my plan and ate fries, it was awesome!  We saw Date Night, hilarious and when we realized it was only 7:00 pm after that we realized we needed another fun activity so we went to the parking lot carnival and rode the ferris wheel.  I think parking lot carnivals are my new favorite thing, they are funny and very overpriced a great combo.  I was then introduced to Yodippity, which kind of stresses me out with all the options but it was AMAZING.  Another deviation from my plan, but so worth the indulgence.

*James also got me the coolest watch for my present, he rocks!

AMAZING

Happy Birthday Cic!  Just wanted to give a list why I love Cicily.
  1. I love her mad organizing skills including somewhat breaking me of being a pack rat
  2. I love her beautiful smile
  3. I love her laugh (especially when it's with me... not at me!)
  4. I love the way she helps me see the bigger picture
  5. I love just being around her
  6. But most of all I love her sass!
Thanks for having another birthday Cic!  I love you!

Love, James

Easter '10

Totally inspired title, I know.  I love Easter, the short span of beautiful weather here in Arizona.  Kids going wild for candy and an all out free for all as they push through each other to get their spoils.

Jerks

Why do they even forecast rain and make it seem like it will really happen.  I knew it wasn't going to rain today, jerky weathermen.  I did have a small hope though that it would actually pan out.  I hate waking up to blue skies.
